THE WOMAN WHO KILLED A BUFFALO
The play is a two-person play on Durga and Mahishasura. The script has been adapted from the Srimad Devi Bhagwatam (translated by Swami Vijnanananda). It follows the rise of Mahishasura as an imperishable Asura, and the scheme plotted to finally defeat him- uniting the femininity of the heavens to create the indomitable Durga. Many a time one takes the battle as one between the pristine and the obscene; however, this script attempts to show the battle between two individuals.
The actors are Ganapathy Murugesan and Kasturi Goswami.
It is in English and runs for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
